What to wear, what to wear? The quintessential question and let’s face it, the crux of every great family session (other than your smiling faces of course)!

Good news, I’ve done the work for you. Check out my Pinterest gallery with great family shots and fabulous color schemes.

In the meantime, a few tips to get you started:
Texture is a great element to add to your portraits. Look for clothing that has texture (stitching, ruffles, etc.) rather than patterns. Layering is also a great option for family portraits. You can combine a few colors with many layers to create some more depth and detail.

Ideally, you want to wear solid colors that somewhat match. You can get away with a bit of pattern; just don’t overwhelm the portrait with the clothing.

The first things you want to see are your faces and the interaction of your family. As the years go by, that’s what you’ll cherish. We don’t want you looking back and just laughing at the crazy argyle sweaters you chose!

We still have a few spots open. Get your summer portrait scheduled while you still have your summer glow! Our sessions usually fill up about two weeks in advance, so call today at (915) 820-8716 to schedule!
