Why I use CoSchedule – The Best Blogging Tool EVER!
As a self-employed children’s photographer – I’m a one-woman show and I wear many, many hats. In just one single day, I go from meeting with one client to photographing another and editing their images, then trying to keep up with my accounting, blogging and social media posts!
Whew! How did I ever do it before I found CoSchedule? Wait a minute… I didn’t! And that’s a critical mistake for small businesses these days! You HAVE to have a blog and make use of social media if you are going to maintain your Google placement and get customers. And more importantly, you must be consistent… If you’re not consistent, your clients will think that you’ve gone out of business or worse yet, you’re erratic. Do you want to do business with someone who’s erractic? Nope.
Now Enter CoSchedule!
CoSchedule is an editorial calendar service that saves my sanity (and yours) by keeping you organized.
Once you’ve created your CoSchedule account , you simply go to your blog , install the CoSchedule plugin and connect your account. Once you’ve established your connection to your blog, CoSchedule appears underneath your Post Editor in WordPress.
It’s that easy and Voila! You are ready to start ROCKING your social media.
Go ahead and create some posts… then use CoSchedule to post them to Facebook, Twitter, Google and LinkedIn and see how easy it really is! You can even post to Facebook Groups. How amazing is that?
Posting On Auto-Pilot…
Every year around November and December (right about now, in fact), I sit down and I create the marketing schedule for my studio for a whole year…
I plan events around special holidays like Valentines, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and the Holidays. I also know that I’ll want to have some unique mini sessions throughout the year and introduce some new products. In between, I’ll want to keep my clients informed about some evergreen topics like when to book their maternity session or how to get the kids ready for their back-to-school portraits.
How do I save time and keep track of it All?
I choose my images, pre-write my posts and schedule them all using CoSchedule. Now, I can see all of my blog and social media posts in one place and I’ll never miss a critical marketing post that could bring in hundreds of dollars plus I have more time to spend with my clients (read, greater customer service)!
